Vow’d Weddings
At Vow’d the bride is the priority. In the words of the VOW’D team, “if the wedding is the best day, this should be the second best.” The brand shuns “traditional” bridal’s exclusive outlook by placing all focus on the brides’ experiences, celebrating them on their way to one of their life’s biggest milestones.
Our goal was to create an atmosphere of joy, or as we affectionately call it – a “love party.” Bright colors, confetti, decor, shaping, and meaningful wall coverings encapsulate the store in this celebratory, imaginative feel. We designed these moments to share joy, not describe it through written messages.
During my time at Chute Gerdeman, I had the privilege to assist the lead interior designer and graphic designer in creating graphic expressions for every corner of the store that fit into the rest of the “love party.”
Like at any internship I was creatively directed by a team of wonderful designers as well as the client’s internal team.
Our goal was to make this bathroom the bachelorette Pinterest board of your dreams, and no party is complete without a pink neon sign, pink tile, and party streamers hanging from the wall and ceiling. Every detail of this bathroom was considered, from the custom wall covering to the pink sanitary trash can.
Bachelorette Themed Bathroom Graphic Elements
We wanted to expand the “love party” to every room, even the ones that guests weren’t experiencing. Tying in branded illustrations and pops of color we created magnets and wall decals to infuse brand elements into the space.
Stylist Room Design
To finish off the bride’s experience at Vow’d it was important for the moment to be a celebration. We designed a special “yes” moment for the bride to celebrate her newfound dress and made the moment worthy of being posted. Inspired by traditional “Bahia bans” each ribbon is hand-tied and both the bride and her entourage leave with a reminder of their experience.
