Food Lion
Food Lion is a grocery store chain that spans 10 states of the Mid-Atlantic and Southeastern United States that operates over 1100 supermarkets. In this update of their stores, the team worked to create design solutions that put the shopper first and establish and simplify the graphic hierarchy in their stores.
Like at any internship I was creatively directed by a team of wonderful designers as well as the client’s internal team.
Organized, sorted, and designed a decor book that held over a hundred of pieces of decor for a prototype decor package for new and remodeled Food Lions. During the process I was in charge of exporting, organizing and finding data for each asset, and leading internal meetings regarding this project. In addition to keeping the end-users in mind, who ranged from store employees to sign manufacturers, while designing for function, I also had to create an efficient system for updating and maintaining this document.

In an effort to refresh the existing blades, the goal was to create appetite appeal while maintaining legibility for each type of wine and their accompanying pairings.

After overhauling the look and feel of this department, these signs were re-designed to coordinate with the rest of the promotional signage around the store.
